Massolino Grandi BottiglieMassolino, great wines from Piemont

Massolino is a Piedmontese winery founded in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe region, in 1896 by Giovanni Massolino. However, it was during the 1930s that the winery developed further, thanks to Giovanni's son Giuseppe and his wife Angela, who in 1934 became a founding member of the Consorzio di tutela Barolo e Barbaresco.

Later, at the end of the 1980s, the heirs of the fourth generation of the family, Franco and Roberto, further extended the estate, purchasing important and prestigious crus that today represent the spearheads of the winery: Margheria, Parafada and Vigna Rionda. Massolino's work is based on respect for ancient traditions but with great importance given to modernity and innovation, with the aim of producing wines that best express the terroir of origin, always at the highest levels of quality.

The estate covers about 24 hectares of vineyards located at an altitude of 300 - 360 metres above sea level, with a microclimate particularly favourable to the cultivation of vines, where the plants are grown in a careful and non-invasive manner. The same attention is paid to each stage of production in the winery. The wines produced by Massolino are the typical Barolo, Barbera, Dolcetto Nebbiolo and Chardonnay of the Langhe, Barbera d'Alba and Moscato d'Asti: bottles of great value and territoriality.

Do you know what a vintage wine really is? Vintage wine is not to be considered as a product to be tasted, but as an emotion to give that brings with it the memories of a past time. It is first and foremost a collector's work, with high antiques value and only later, if you are lucky, a wine to taste.
