ODDERO
The historic Oddero winery in Piedmont is one of the most important producers of Barolo and Barbaresco, and is now run by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, daughters of Giacomo Oddero, an important name in the Langa region. The winery combines tradition with modern techniques, with great attention paid to each production step in the management of the 35 hectares of vineyards, more than 16 of which are planted with Nebbiolo for the production of Barolo. Relying on plots of land planted with vines in the best sub-zones and crus of the Barolo and Barbaresco denominations, Oddero produces authentic and extraordinary Barolo, among the best in the Langhe.

Oddero and his historical Barolo
The Oddero winery is a historical reality in the Barolo area: its origins date back to the early 1800s. The credit for having made the company grow and making it known nationally goes to Giacomo Oddero, but his daughter Mariacristina is now carrying on the business with the passion inherited from his father and the desire to keep up with the times and respect the Langhe terroir as much as possible.
In fact, with Mariacristina, the winery underwent the conversion to organic in 2001: Chemical substances are prohibited in the vineyard and interventions in the cellar are minimal: spontaneous fermentations and use of large Austrian, Slavonian and French oak barrels.
The Oddero estate has 35 total hectares, of which almost half cultivated in Nebbiolo for the production of Barolo and Barbaresco, distributed among the most prestigious crus of the Barolo denomination, such as Rocche di Castiglione, Bussia, Villero and Brunate.
In 2015 a new low environmental impact cellar was built, which joins the company's historic cellar. Oddero produces bottles of great thickness and character, which reflect the terroir of origin in a pure way.
