"Quality for me has always meant making the best possible with the typical grapes of our area" - Bruno Giacosa

The work of three generations of wine growers, summarized in the passion, wisdom and foresight of Bruno Giacosa.

An ancient passion born among the best Langa vineyards, in search of grapes to buy, some of which later became property.

His love for great wines and in particular Nebbiolo, his meticulous and to date, daily pursuit of perfection in the work, have always been a beacon for all the Langhe.

The story of Bruno Giacosa begins during the Second World War, when Bruno, just fifteen years old, abandons his studies and starts working alongside his father Mario, in the winery founded by his grandfather Carlo in 1900. Remembering those first moments Bruno recently told: "then I was a boy, so I didn't drink wine, but I immediately had a good nose, in the sense that I understood that paying attention to the aromas that come out before eating the grapes in time of harvest, then tasting the fermenting must, and then the wine, you can understand almost all the things you need ".

Passion and enthusiasm animate Bruno who humbly learns all the secrets of the trade. Initially the Giacosa family winery made wine only from grapes purchased by the owners, chosen from among the best producers in the Langhe. But it will be only in 1982, with the purchase by Bruno Giacosa of the Falletto vineyard in Serralunga, which will begin the production of the prestigious Barolo Falletto; in 1996 he will buy the Asili and Rabajà crus, now very well known as they give life to unforgettable Barolo and Barbaresco. Bruno Giacosa's love for great wines and his meticulous search for perfection do not allow for exceptions: quality must be absolute.

If, for example, the vinification of a vintage does not meet its criteria, the wine is not bottled! Only thanks to a virtuous and traditional approach in the vineyard and in the cellar and to this strict selection, Bruno Giacosa wines are always sublime and incomparable, known all over the world and greeted by experts and critics as among the best expressions of the Langhe.
